A career-development supplement rather than salary, for postdoctoral fellows from underrepresented groups in biomedical research: $10K research supplies plus $10K education and training in years 1–2, and $20K in year 3 toward the transition to the professoriate.

Why it's in this index

No disease restriction, so a BTHS postdoc is eligible on the same terms as any other. This supplements rather than replaces a fellowship.

Who can apply

Postdoctoral fellows from underrepresented groups in biomedical/medical research at US or Canadian degree-granting institutions, with a committed mentor.
