Why it's in this index

No Barth syndrome RFA currently exists, and none has historically. One would appear only if BSF or donors seeded a restricted fund with NORD — so this is a route to create rather than a call to answer.

Academic scientists internationally, including early-career, applying under whichever disease-specific RFAs are posted.

How to apply

The annual RFP announcement is posted ~August. A Barth-specific RFA would require BSF or donors to establish a restricted fund with NORD.
