Free long-read sequencing — consumables, library prep, Revio sequencing, and initial bioinformatics through certified service providers — awarded in themed rounds plus local and regional SMRT grants. The application is a 100-word proposal. As of Aug 28, 2026 no round is open: the 2026 metagenomics round has closed and the 2026 cancer round has announced its winner. PacBio opens submission windows throughout the year and posts them to its blog.
