Alexion Charitable Foundation (AstraZeneca Rare Disease)
Philanthropic grants to nonprofits serving the rare disease community, with 71 partners in 15 countries to date. Priorities include mental health and wellness, barriers to care, health literacy, diagnostic access, and patient supports. Grants are not tied to Alexion's product areas. General operating support and event sponsorships are excluded.
Direct grants are limited to disease-agnostic organizations, so single-disease groups such as BSF are not directly eligible. The realistic route is as a partner on a disease-agnostic applicant's program.
Disease-agnostic nonprofit organizations serving rare disease communities, globally; single-disease organizations are not eligible for direct grants.
