AHA rules: research must be at a US institution; AHA membership required. Predoc: enrolled PhD/MD students. Postdoc: doctoral degree holders in training. Most AHA programs are not citizenship-restricted.

The 2027-cycle deadlines were Aug 4 (predoc) and Aug 5, 2026 (postdoc); the 2028 cycle is expected ~summer 2027.
