Charles River has no standing rare-disease grant program but has run case-by-case collaborations with foundations and academic groups, including humanized model creation for Cure Rare Disease and a CDMO deal with the FOXG1 Research Foundation. It also runs a periodic Research Models in Drug Discovery Award of free model and CRO support.
Discounted tafazzin model work or a manufacturing partnership would go through business development. There is no portal and no deadline — this is a relationship route.
