Supports young faculty in chemistry and the life sciences, favouring innovative methods and instrumentation. Clinical research and single-target drug discovery are excluded.

Cardiolipin chemistry, lipidomics method development, and mitochondrial imaging tools fit the methods-and-instrumentation emphasis. A BTHS therapeutic program does not.

Who can apply

Open application (no nomination). Tenure-track faculty within the first 4 years of appointment and ≤10 years post-PhD; non-citizens may apply, but US citizenship or permanent residency is required by the end of full-application review; external funding cap of $225,000 direct annualized at application.
