Funding and/or drug for investigator-initiated rare-disease studies — interventional, non-interventional, or preclinical — that complement Alexion's portfolio. Stated focus areas are hematology and nephrology, neurology, and metabolic disorders (meTA+). Proposals must align with Alexion's strategic interests.
BTHS work would fall under the metabolic area. As with any pharma ISR route, alignment with the company's interests is the gate, not scientific merit alone.
Qualified external academic investigators and clinicians; the study is initiated and managed by the investigator, independent of Alexion.
Submit an unsolicited proposal through Alexion's ESR online process; rolling.
