Major early-career faculty support — salary plus research budget over up to two 5-year terms — weighing scientific excellence together with inclusive lab leadership and mentoring. From the 2028 competition it runs combined with the Hanna Gray Fellows program.
No disease restriction; BTHS work competes on the science and on the leadership criteria alongside it.
Tenure-track (or equivalent) faculty at HHMI-eligible US institutions with at most 7 years as a lab head as of Dec 15, 2026; must hold or begin the appointment by May 1, 2028. Open application.
